Johnson City S'mores Run
Est. 2016

The OG

Where it all started.

The original S'mores Run has been serving up miles, marshmallows and memories on the Tweetsie Trail since 2016.

Johnson City, Tennessee

Fall colors, crisp November air and the Tweetsie Trail set the scene.

The finish-line celebration takes over the ballfields with fire pits, S'mores stations, music, photo spots and the signature S'mores Run atmosphere. Johnson City also traditionally includes a barbecue meal and support for local nonprofits.

Race Day Details

Packet Pickup

Friday, November 6th from 4–7 p.m. at Chick-fil-A (2103 W. Market St., Johnson City). Participants with their bibs will receive a FREE S'mores Milkshake, compliments of Chick-fil-A.

Saturday, November 7th from 2–3:30 p.m. at Lions Field (2459 W. Elk Ave.). There will be shuttles, but please plan accordingly.

The race will start ON TIME. Take this into consideration when getting your packet.

Dog Friendly

This is a dog friendly event! Canine participants are welcome and must be well socialized and on a leash.

All dog owners are responsible for cleaning up after their dogs. We will have water for your fur baby, but no medals will be given to animals.

Parking

On Saturday, shuttles will start at 3:00 PM. We'd suggest parking at the Doughboy stadium or Burley parking lot (corner of Legion St. and State of Franklin) and walking to the start line.

Lions Field Park (2459 W. Elk Ave., Elizabethton) also has a parking lot for participants to use, with a shuttle to transport you to the starting area — look for the tent at the shuttle stop.

The shuttles will be continuously running, so either way we'll get you where you need to go. Please be patient during this process — we have a couple hundred other friends running as well!

Race Start

We will have different wave starts of approximately 100 runners, which will start approximately 1 minute apart.

Please be ready to run at 4 p.m. — we will not linger to get runners pushed through the start.

Course

The start is at the Tweetsie Trail trailhead in Johnson City and the finish is at mile marker 4. It's all flat or slightly downhill, so expect faster times.

Permanent mile markers line the course, and there will be a water station near the Milligan Depot.

S'mores Extravaganza

Join us after the race for the ultimate S'mores Bar, music and fun.
