Take a run on the wild side.
A fall 5K surrounded by nature — followed by fire pits, toasted marshmallows and one very sweet finish line.

The Knoxville race joined The S'mores Run family in 2021.
Ijams Nature Center is exactly the kind of place The S'mores Run was made for — trees, trails, greenways and a setting that feels far away from a typical city road race.
The course mostly uses the greenway, then it's straight to the fire pits.

Course & Participation
Run, walk, skip or stroll along the Knoxville Greenbelt. No bicycles, please. The trail is narrow and remains open to the public. Please stay on the right side of the trail as best as possible and follow volunteers and arrow signs.
Packet Pickup
Sunday, November 15, 2026, from 2–4 p.m. at Ijams Nature Center (2915 Island Home Ave., Knoxville, TN 37920).
Race Start
The timed 5K starts at 4 p.m. on Sunday, November 15, 2026.
The race will start ON TIME. Please plan accordingly.
Dog Friendly
Canine participants are welcome and must be well socialized and on a leash. All dog owners are responsible for cleaning up after their dogs. We will have water for your fur baby, but no medals will be given to animals.
Parking
Parking is available at Ijams Nature Center in separate parking lots.
S'mores Extravaganza
Join us after the race for the ultimate S'mores Bar, music and fun.
Participants receive a t-shirt and finisher's medal.
Virtual Option
Complete the run/walk in your neighborhood, at the gym, on a treadmill, or at home. Track it with a GPS watch, Fitbit, Garmin, or phone running app, then send a photo or screenshot of results to the organizers so completion can be recorded.
Virtual participants receive a t-shirt, bib and medal. Race items can be picked up during packet pickup or mailed for an additional shipping and handling fee.

Male & Female Masters (40+) & Grandmasters (50+)
Age Groups: 9 & Under, 10-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70 & Older
All finishers will receive a medal IF they have a bib. If you do not have your bib on race day, please go to packet pickup prior to the race and let someone know.
